VILLAGE OF BRUCE
2021 CAUCUS

Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the 2021 Village of Bruce Caucus was held on Tuesday, January 5, 2021, at 6:00 p.m. at the Village Hall, 100 W. River Avenue, Bruce, Wisconsin.

Village President Shane Trott called to order the Caucus at 6:00 p.m. Clerk Jessica Hegeholz attended and a sign in sheet was circulated. The first order of business was to elect a Chairperson to run the Caucus. Trott called for nominations for Chairperson.

Motion by Galen Brainerd to appoint Kim Grasley as Chairperson, seconded by Rob Grabon.  Trott called twice for any other nominations for Chairperson. Kim Grasley was unanimously appointed as Chairperson to run the Caucus.

Chairperson Grasley called for nominations for two tellers to canvass votes for the Caucus.  Motion by Galen Brainerd to nominate Rob Grabon as teller, seconded by Shane Trott.  Motion by Kim Grasley to nominate Darlene Wundrow as teller, seconded by Shane Trott.

The following positions which terms expire April 20, 2021 are listed.  The Spring Election will be held on April 6, 2021.

                        Incumbent Shane Trott for Village President

                        Incumbent Galen Brainerd for Village Trustee

                        Incumbent Avery Newman for Village Trustee

                        Vacant Position for Village Trustee

Motion by Galen Brainerd to nominate Shane Trott for Village President, seconded by Kim Grasley.

Chairperson Grasley called twice for further nominations for Village President. With none made, she called for a motion to close nominations. Motion by Galen Brainerd to close nominations for Village President, seconded by Grasley.

Grasley called for nominations for Village Trustees.
Motion by Wundrow to nominate Galen Brainerd for Village Trustee, seconded by Rachel Smith.
Motion by Barry Frisinger to nominate Rachel Smith for Village Trustee, seconded by Galen Brainerd.
Motion by Kim Grasley to nominate Brenda Popple for Village Trustee, seconded by Jason Frey.
Motion by Darlene Wundrow to nominate Jim Johnson for Village Trustee, seconded by Galen Brainerd.
Motion by Kim Grasley to nominate Jason Frey for Village Trustee, seconded by Brenda Popple.
Motion by Rachel Smith to nominate Loren Beebe for Village Trustee, seconded by Barry Frisinger.

Chairperson Grasley called twice for further nominations for Village Trustees.  With none made, she called for a motion to close nominations.  Motion by Galen Brainerd to close nominations for Village Trustees, seconded by Rob Grabon.

Chairperson Grasley called for a motion to adjourn.  Motion by Galen Brainerd to adjourn the 2021  Village of Bruce Caucus, seconded by Barry Frisinger.

The Caucus adjourned at 6:11 p.m.
